We've been making our annual pilgrimage to Hobart for folk punk christmas for as long as I've owned a guitar & this year is my first time playin as lil solo me

three day gig crawl run by mates, all DIY all the time, big silly lovely pal fest, stacked lineup, immaculate vibes, kind of what I imagine melbourne cup feels like for rich as****es with bad values except the opposite (?) I dunno, you get it maybe (??)

when you start hormone therapy your voice gets weak and thin and tired and squeaky and some of the notes get further away. It's a bit scary. some day it strengthens and stabilises and you learn how to use it (literally and metaphorically). For now, here's a fragile feeble little song I wrote yesterday. aren't we all just doin our best?

Also: I kept worrying I was hearing my neighbour doin something but it was a bird eating the flashing around their window. what a distracting treat

when I was a kid my family was into computers and they let me play on the computer and I had a game called Creatures where lil guys hatched and you could teach them about carrots and honey and icky gremlin folk called Grendels maybe? I love creatures. come to creatures!! honeys & gremlins 💓
