Our great country was built on the sacrifices of so many, who fought for our freedoms and our way of life.
Do we honestly think we could look into the eyes of those that made the ultimate sacrifice and say we’re doing all we can to uphold those values and ways of life they fought so hard to protect…?
Today, let’s ensure we take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by all those from commonwealth nations, and consider how we too can find courage and to be fearless in defending what we value, and demand change where change is needed.
Today, we join together to mark Remembrance Day, the anniversary of the day the guns fell silent on the Western Front and the First World War came to an end.
Since that day, every year
on the eleventh hour
of the eleventh day
of the eleventh month
we pause to remember.
We will remember them.
Lest we forget.
