My recent Pet Portraits! 🐀🐶🐰

The first portrait is of my own pet ratties Possum and Sniffy. We had them while living on the Gold Coast and when we ultimately decided to move back to Tassie circumstances meant we had to re-home them. They went to a wonderful new home with Charlotte ( ) and have been absolutely spoiled! Sadly Possum passed away earlier this month. I painted this portrait of her and Sniffy as a memento for Charlotte and to thank her for looking after the girls so well. I’ll have a print made for myself so I can have one too!

The second portrait was commissioned by my colleague Colin as a gift for his partner. Their little dog is named Randy.

The three bunnies are Snickers, Noodles and Evie. This was a commission for the lovely Sue and is the third pet portrait I have done for her!

Not just painting pretty pictures with my paints this weekend… Here’s my sign for the rally today against President of Israel, Isaac Herzog’s visit to Australia.

I support a free Palestine and an end to genocide and apartheid. Herzog’s visit normalises war crimes. It shows that our government will support Israel no matter the extent of the atrocities they commit. We must show that the people won’t stand for this.

The Hobart rally happened this morning but, if you are elsewhere in the country, most rallies in major cities will happen this evening around 5:30/6pm.

Another small acrylic painting on paper completed! This one is 180 x 180mm (second pic gives a bit of scale)

I’m really pleased with how it has turned out! I imagine I’ll frame it some time soon, but feel free to reach out before then if you are interested in purchasing it.

Also, I’m terrible with street names and pay them no mind when I’m walking all over the place taking possible painting reference photos… so does anyone know what street I’ve ended up painting here??? 😂

With all the Christmas and New Year hecticness I never actually posted a photo of this piece framed up!

So here it is now! This artwork is acrylic on 8ply mat board (180 x 185mm), float-mounted behind ArtGlass. The frame’s outer size is 285 x 295mm. This piece is available for purchase - please get in touch if you are interested.

New painting framed up! I was scrolling through my camera roll and found a pretty picture from a day out on the boat with my family in 2015. I thought it would be a nice one to paint! I’m not sure exactly what part of the shoreline it is. But it’s somewhere in Ralph’s Bay.
Isn’t Tassie so beautiful? 😍
