Last night I was thrilled to learn Jill Munro had picked up a Theatre Council of Tasmania Tas Theatre Award for her extraordinary set design for LIFE/CYCLE and myself honoured later with Best Direction, Professional category.

Huge thanks to those who passed on kind messages in the last 12 hours, to all funders, donors, supporters, partners, to the magnificent cast and team of creatives who realised this dream, to the divine Jane Johnson for collecting the awards and to brilliant dramaturg Deborah Pollard who suggested I might direct the work to which I heartily laughed out loud in denial.

BOY

Patrick Moloney has enjoyed performing from an early age. He has been an Irish Dancer since the tender age of four and is currently in his third year attending React Drama School.

He enjoys all aspects of drama and loves to entertain audiences large or small.
Previously Patrick took part in school holiday theatre workshops, performed over three nights at The Playhouse Theatre for First Steps - An Irish Journey, and was MC at Festival of Voices - Young Tasmania Sings.

He is a Champion Irish Dancer and is the reigning Regional champion (NT/SA/TAS).

When he is not performing you will find Patrick engrossed in a spy novel, playing a tune on his flute or cuddling with his cat Flop.

PARKOUR ARTIST

Introducing Finley Gorringe - a 25 year old parkour artist originally from Tasmania who has returned home after seven years in the UK.

He is a qualified gymnastics and parkour coach who has worked and performed extensively around the UK at festivals, shopping centres and private events.

Drawn to parkour for its blend of danger, creativity, and challenge, he values how it builds mental resilience and problem-solving skills.

He is now training to become a stuntman, a pursuit that perfectly matches his love for high-impact, adrenaline-fueled performance. Off the stage, his days are filled with surfing, skating, fire-spinning, and, of course, plenty of parkour practice.

See him in LIFE/CYCLE
