Showtime at The Gov - Open Mic Night The Gov’s Open Mic is back and it’s better than ever. Join us for Showtime at The Gov, on our ic
onic Gibson Stage in the Front Bar.

Every Friday night we’ll encourage and cheer the newest of the new, emerging talent that could even be you! We’ve got some of our favourite local musos hosting the event and welcome bands, solo acts and singers to get involved. With nine slots available each week, five pre-booked and the rest left free for anyone who wants to turn up, there’s plenty of chances to give it a go. To make sure everyone gets their time in the spotlight and there’s great mix of entertainment for the audience, we’ll be limiting spots to once per fortnight per performer or band. Kicking off from 8pm you can jump onstage in front of a crowd and have a go at performing. There’s a professional backline provided and we can send you stage specs in advance so you can be confident your equipment is compatible. Our job is to make you sound great! So, whether you’re young or old, new to performing or tired and haggard from years on stage, we’re handing the mic over to you for Showtime at The Gov, every Friday night. You never know, it could be the beginning of your new music career!
