Our main studios control room allows you to chill out on the back couches or be right up on the desk with the engineer/producer. So many artists have taken a nap in the back with out our engineers even realising!
The great thing about the back couches is that they're on a significant riser, which means you can still see directly into the live room and feel a part of the process all the way from the back of the studio.

This amount of room makes the process super comfortable and tends to give everyone their space during the long days/nights.

There's also a bunch of hifi gear connected to the far-fields, including two turn tables connected via Manley tube pres, a high-end cassette player and a couple or 2 track reel to reels (and of course the aux cable). A really great mix of work and play. (although it's kind of all play right?)

The main live room houses the beautiful C7 grand piano, an absorptive drum corner, as well as a generously sized isolation room (we've recorded drums in the iso room as well as horns, acoustic guitars vox, etc)

We've had everything from full 7 piece bands, to choirs, rock bands, string sections and jazz ensembles in here. (As well as the odd live event!)

This rooms is undergoing some renovations at the moment and we're super excited to show you what we're up to once it's finished!

The control room of our main studio, the Duality room.
Named (obviously) after the 72 channel SSL Duality console.

Genelec far-fields have been there since day 1, Neumann KH310 near-fields, with the addition of some feature speakers that seem to change every couple of months depending on what Josh likes listening to at the time. (currently some Wharfdales)

A huge amount of great stories and memories have been made in here. Oh and some records too! 😄🎉

This is our newly renovated entrance hall that leads you into our studios.

We've taken down the old low hanging ceiling to reveal the beautiful natural stone wall of the church to its full height. While we were at it we added 3 tonnes of acoustic treatment to the new ceiling, all modules hand made from lengths of timber by Josh.

It took a seriously long time, with almost all in-house labour, but we think the results are worth it.

First thing we did once it was done? Record drums in it of course!

Super grateful to have seen so many new faces through the studio this year and being involved in so many incredibly innovative and creative projects.

Josh has been doing a lot of hard work in renovations, making the studio complex even bigger and better!

We'll be sharing some photos over the next few days to show you what the studio looks like these days. (Unless you're on our Instagram, then you may have already seen them! 😉🤫 )

We've had a great day with Emma Jayne Music and her band in the studio today!

Smashing out drums and bass with recording engineers Michael Carver and Bethan Maddison; the band Conor Deery, Alexander Black and Robyn Habel; and also featuring drum tech Eli Green and media gal Emily Bettison.

Last month we had a day with the St Aloysius College Adelaide senior rock band and their teacher Nicole Wedding, recording three of their tracks! It was super exciting and inspiring having such passionate, energetic teenagers in the studio (supported by Girls in the Mix)!
