Our DWL families have recently said goodbye to our studio and the DWL era, and what an era it was! Nearly 10 years of watching the most passionate dancers walk through our doors and inspire myself and our teachers every single day! It’s hard to find the right words to express how grateful I feel to have had the opportunity to be a part of each students dance journey throughout this time, and I will forever hold a piece of each and every one of you in my heart. Watching some of you grow up right before my eyes and become the most amazing young adults has been such a privilege that I don’t take lightly. We have made the most incredible memories together that I will cherish forever and I want to thank everyone who has been a part of this journey from the start. Each of you has helped to shape what we created together and I couldn’t have done it without all of you.
This decision was not made lightly but after facing some difficult challenges I knew it was time to focus on my young family and give them the attention they deserve.
In saying this I am very excited to let you know that one of our beautiful DWL teachers Miss Mia has been working hard the last few weeks to open up her own studio space called Creative Ground Studio. This space is open to all dancers but will allow our DWL students the opportunity to continue doing what they love with a familiar teacher and their dance friends for some normality after such a big change. I am very excited to see the growth of Mia’s new studio and I know that our students will be left in the safest and best possible hands. Miss Mia has been a part of DWL since before we even opened, and I am so proud to have watched her growth from student to teacher to now running her own studio! I truly thank everyone at DWL for your ongoing support and help with my boys over the years. My sons have been very lucky to grow up with their extended dance family.
I will be taking a big step back but will still be teaching casually and will keep this page open for any dance related updates.
