Well, that was a bit of a day...
Thankfully, unlike the catastrophic flooding of 2022, this time the halls were not damaged. The bridge over the normally very shallow creek wasn't so lucky.
Lots of cleanup and a some repairs to do but nothing to interfere with upcoming events

And that's a wrap for today!
A great first day at the art show here at the community hall in Hindmarsh Tiers Rd.
We'll be open again tomorrow 10am to 3pm showcasing some amazing local artists. There will be food, wine and live music in the afternoon.

We are thrilled to announce a fantastic new local partnership! 🥂

We have joined forces with the wonderful team at George's Folly Wines, based just down the road in Currency Creek, as our official wine partner for upcoming events at our community halls.

As wine enthusiasts ourselves, we couldn't be happier. George's Folly crafts outstanding wines, ranging from crowd-pleasing classics to a few unique and exciting varietals. Their crisp Roussanne will be serving as our ‘house white’, while our go-to red will be their rich, smooth Shiraz.

From time to time, we will also feature a few special additions, including their Montepulciano, a stunning Nero d’Avola, a couple of refreshing rosés, and even a Gamay that brings back fond memories of sipping chilled Beaujolais on sunny afternoons in France.

Come along and celebrate with us this weekend at the Hindmarsh Valley Art Show! 🖼️✨

Wow, That was our best quiz night ever!
Was it hard? Yes it was, we aim for a tough but fair evening. It was close and the lead changed multiple times but in the end Table three won through with their broad general knowledge after a shaky start on the opening music round.

Most of all though, this post is to pass on our sincere thanks to this amazing community we have here - to the quizzers that came along to support the event, to the local businesses who generously donated such great prizes and to the volunteer team who worked so hard to make the evening the success that it was.
