Sewing machines were no where to be seen in Textile Art class yesterday . Had a day off. Instead , a crafty morning making lanterns out of teabag’s and dried flowers and leaves . Fun had by all . One lady made a mini Christmas tree , crocheted all the tea bag strings together , to form a mat under her tree and also included the colourful tags as a seasonal touch . Clever clever 🥇

Some silliness in Sit and Sew class today ! A first for a newby, first zipper , first cushion cover and fun and cake had by all , with dual birthday celebrations . 🥳

I’d love to hear everyone’s earliest memories 🙂💓

Some of my earliest memories were being taken to work to ‘help out’ at Ron Morgan Sewing Centre, founded by Ron and Mandy Morgan in Hervey Bay and Maryborough. As a child, I used to make little doll houses out of the styrofoam from the sewing machine boxes, and in 1983 I learned how to sew scrunchies on the Bernina record 930. Such special memories that sparked a lifelong love for sewing and creativity ✨
