RIVER HEADS BLUES IS COMING! 🎶

Get ready for a full day of blues, soul, rock, great food and good times at River Heads on Saturday 12 September!

Featuring an incredible line-up of female performers including Vix & the Slick Chix, Olivia Ruth, LiNi, Sugar Game, Donna Hourigan & The Turnaround, The Jacqui Walker Band, Miz Bully Band, The Rhubarb Tarts and Red & the Mz Four Tunes.

From 10:30am until 9pm, settle in with your chair, blanket or gazebo and enjoy 10 hours of live music in a relaxed, family-friendly bush setting.

Join us TODAY for the annual Paddle Out for Whales event! Whether you're a seasoned paddler or just starting out, all are welcome to participate as we paddle out into the bay and raise awareness for whale and ocean conservation. 🌊💙

Statement – Hervey Bay Whale Festival

Fraser Coast Tourism & Events acknowledges the incident involving the Mega Twister ride at the Hervey Bay Whale Festival today.

We acknowledge that this incident may have been unsettling for those involved and their families. We understand that, at this stage, no serious injuries have been reported. Our medical team was on hand to support those involved and provided assistance.

The safety and wellbeing of festival patrons is our highest priority, and we are working with the ride operator as they respond to the incident.

Participants or families who were directly impacted and require further information are encouraged to contact Funtime Amusements at [email protected].

We're getting ready for a fantastic evening at the Hervey Bay Whale Festival!

Please note the following road closures on Saturday 29 August 2026, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm:
📍 Main Street
Between Old Maryborough Road and Seafront Oval
📍 The Esplanade
Between Thomas Street and Taylor Street.

Please allow extra travel time, follow traffic management directions and plan your journey ahead.
