Thanks for the calls, messages and comments to see how my stall went on Sunday. Let's just say it was a challenge. Haha
It was not only my first ever stall but I was only informed the good news 2 business days ahead that I had a place. It was the last market for the year and I was finally putting my art in the public forum.
I worked around the clock trying to prepare as much as humanly possible, leaving myself only 3.5 hours sleep before getting up to pack the car and leave!
But... who can control the fact that it was an extremely windy day after a 24-hour Covid outbreak with ensuing fears in the community to stay away from public events in case "Christmas is cancelled."
Well, that's the theory the other stall holders had - the numbers weren't there.
I still have my sense of humour though! I summed it up with a pun: "That's how the cards fall" (given I was there to sell greeting cards).
Enough was sold to make it worthwhile. I learned a lot and reflected on what I would do differently next time. Perhaps make it less labour intensive however it was a unique situation of last minute preparations.
I think I did OK haha, given the pressure I was under. On that note a BIG thank you to my parents Sue Watson and Chris for giving it their ALL with their time, help, spirit and patience. It was a team effort!
