Dear marvellous people,
I try not to ask favours too terribly often. But this is a biggie. If you've heard one or more episodes of my podcast, or even part of an episode, I would really love it if you could fill in this survey. It will give me much-needed feedback, which is a requirement under the terms of my grant. You may do this ANONYMOUSLY if you wish! It offers a chance for you to express compliments, concerns and suggestions. I've written the survey myself, and tried to make it a quick one, but if you want to add more detail, there's scope. Thank you in advance to those of you who will fill in this survey, and thank you for reading this post:)☺️

Since I spend a lot of time playing with my food, and I'm always on the lookout for ways to make bio-degradable art, it was only a matter of time before I started making toast art, and this is my first non-failure in the medium: a mix of toast and tofu soldiers spelling out the word 'PEACE,' with a little sprig of rosemary on the A.

I like the idea of offering affordable art, so I've had a stack of these professionally printed. If anyone wants to purchase a few for Chrissy, or stock them in a retail space, give me a DM or a comment and I'll set you up. They're $2.50 a pop plus postage.

DETAILS:
These are not tiny, shiny, bendy or thin. They are:
- Large (A5)
- Thick (400gsm)
- Solid (good standing posture), and
- Tastefully matte.
- They are all laid out properly on the back, with a stamp rectangle, artwork details, (title: Toast and Tofu Soldiers), address lines and plenty of space to write a message.😊

I'll attach a PDF proof in the DM's. This is the first design I'm offering, and more will slowly become available over the coming year. I feel very blessed to be branching out in this way, and finding a new avenue to share my work. Thanks to all my friends and family for your continuing support.☺️

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of sitting down with Carey Shaw, from Tablelands Sexual Assault Service (TSAS), and here is the 50-minute podcast of the things we said: https://open.spotify.com/episode/26ls5CAKBLlrau13dVHVo5
In this podcast series, each guest shares a little about their own life, before we get started on the so-called 'topics.' But, in a way, I've come to find it's the guests themselves who are the topic. Art and social-work are interwoven in this interview - and it's not only the art of victim-survivors we talk about here: it's the art of Carey Shaw the practitioner, as she bears witness to the inspiring stories of people who come through the doors of Tablelands Sexual Assault Service seeking support.
There's a richness to Carey Shaw's ideas and philosophies that's had a tremendous effect on my own life in the wake of this interview. Carey shares lots of helpful hints here on supporting ourselves and each other in the aftermath of difficult events. As usual, there's more than a few laughs along the way! All the very best, Lucy.☺

Episode 2 of This Does Not Exist Podcast With Lucy is launching today on Spotify, featuring none other than Herberton Pocket Film Festival's very own Peter Whalley-Thompson. I so enjoyed participating in this conversation! Peter's warm and raconteurish ways will hopefully leave listeners inspired about life in general and prostate health in particular. Serious topic - plenty of laughs. One of my favourite things about this project is learning more about other people's lives. And in this episode, Peter really delivers...☺️

Hi everyone!! This Does Not Exist Podcast officially launched yesterday at 12:30pm (lunchtime) on Spotify. This series has been voice-crafted(!) on the Atherton Tablelands, edited by me, and produced by Joel Devereux of WEPOP Creative in Cairns.

It is a totally local production, aiming to celebrate life in all its quirky (and sometimes challenging) glory, while also providing practical links to local resources at the end of each episode.

Episode 1 gives a massive intro into my life, and a multi-dimensional view of the disorder that is OCD by Proxy. With the illustrious Sara Isherwood as my interviewer, I hope listeners will come away feeling your brain has eaten a highly nutritious jam-packed club sandwich, full of thoughts, ideas, and emotions that span the breadth of life...
