We are honoured to announce Mr Ibrahim Hassan as one of the distinguished Keynote Speakers at the Global Somali Diaspora International Conference (GSDIC) 2026.
With more than 30 years of experience across academia and industry, Ibrahim brings deep expertise in information systems, risk management, and Islamic finance.
His career began in academia, teaching information systems and data communications at the University of Technology Malaysia, before continuing his academic work at the University of Melbourne and University of Technology Sydney.
Since joining MCCA, Australia’s largest Islamic finance and investment company, in 2003, Ibrahim has held senior leadership roles and currently serves as Chief Risk Officer of the MCCA Group, overseeing risk management, regulatory compliance, strategy, and reporting.
He holds two Master’s degrees, in Electrical Engineering and Applied Information Technology, alongside industry certifications and diplomas.
Beyond his professional career, Ibrahim is a dedicated community volunteer and motivational speaker with a passion for personal development, psychology, and brain science, helping people unlock their potential and achieve greater productivity.
At GSDIC 2026, Ibrahim will share his extensive experience and insights on leadership, innovation, finance, risk management, and personal development, contributing to meaningful conversations about the knowledge and expertise within the global Somali diaspora.
