When our trans folks face discrimination or invasive questions about their ability to participate in sport, we will turn up to meetings to be in their corner.
When a parent is navigating their non-binary child’s ability to participate with gendered competitions? We get on the phone or a video chat and help.
When someone is facing harassment and their club dismisses their concern? We will help with translating policy and legal requirements and connect them with services to help.
This work is not funded by any grant. We do it because we should, and we’re the only LGBTQIA+ sporting body that does this individual support.
It’s not fancy, it’s not fun. It’s the hard yards and often the emotionally taxing work that has to be done.
