What an incredible day! ❤️

Our Moro Moro dress rehearsal was a success, and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who made it possible. From our amazing cast and crew to our production team, volunteers, supporters, and everyone who gave their time, talent and heart — thank you!

Seeing everything come together on stage was truly special. We are so incredibly proud of what we have created together and excited for what lies ahead.

Thank you to all our Tita’s from Lakas Filipino , Tina Bangel, parents, DVLX Media , USyd FiloSoc Officers and the whole Philippine Consulate General officers and staff.

✨ A Vision for Our Filipino-Australian Youth — and a Story for All Australians 🇵🇭🇦🇺

In this reel, Jenina Lui, Vice President of FILCCA (Youth), shares the vision behind the Moro Moro Musical — an initiative she spearheaded to engage Filipino-Australian youth and families in our culture, history and identity through the performing arts.

🎭 Moro Moro is more than a musical. It is a celebration of our Filipino heritage and an opportunity for the next generation to connect with the stories and traditions of our ancestors.

What makes this production especially significant is that it is the first Filipino musical in Australia performed in English, making our story accessible not only to the Filipino community, but to the wider Australian community.

Through music, theatre and storytelling, we hope to build bridges, spark curiosity and share the richness of Filipino culture with Australia. 🇵🇭❤️🇦🇺

🎭 Behind the Scenes: Growing Together as Artists ✨

Two days of intense learning, challenging ourselves, stepping out of our comfort zones—and of course, plenty of laughter! ❤️

Our Moro Moro Musical cast and crew came together for a special acting workshop with Direk Ferdie Dimaano, diving deeper into character, emotions, movement, storytelling and the art of connecting with an audience.

What makes this journey extra special is seeing our cast not only develop as performers, but also grow closer as a team. From beginners to more experienced performers, everyone brought their own energy, courage and willingness to learn.

We still have a long way to go, but every rehearsal, every workshop and every challenge is bringing Moro Moro closer to life on stage. 🌟
