My poor old wallet is really not what it should be - so I’m raiding my stash. The old wallet is still sound and in good condition BUT after 3 years I feel like a change. (How great are these fabric wallets - darn thing will not die.)

This one is one of my favourites - and all about contrasts. Snazzy, contemporary with a dash of retro on the outside and bright, cheery and deliciously feminine on the inside. Bonus - a piece of the fabric came from a dear friend, no longer with us, and I treasure the memories it invokes.

Don’t you just love it! SOLD to me. *happy dance* 💃🏼💝

I’ve received a request to do a simple pouch workshop over the Christmas holidays.
Something like this one - but all fabric. It takes me a few hours to make one from go to woe, so I’m thinking a full day workshop.
Haven’t worked a cost out yet. I could also price up kits with required interfacing/foam/wadding and hardware. I do have some (teensy amount) of fabric in my stash. Some prices on fabric would be guesses but I’m sure participants would have their own fabric anyway. I also have some trusty old machines which I can hire out for around $20 for the day.
Anyone interested in doing this workshop?

If you want to do a workshop and you can organise a group of 6-8 people, happy to do it earlier.

Do you have anything simple in mind that you would like a workshop on? I’ve not kept the ball rolling on this one but if you have a request let me know and I’ll see if I can do it.

How lovely is this custom order? A very happy customer took this home this afternoon. Shoulder strap was a request so that the wallet isn’t put down somewhere whilst shopping. 😉

High Tea for our lovely local ladies, friends and seniors…

Local community identity, Annette Smith, has had the wonderful idea of an High Tea In honour of the late Queen Elizabeth, to be held on the National day of Mourning. What a great idea. See below for details.

Planning is underway for a High Tea to honour our late Queen Elizabeth 11 to be held on Thursday 22 September, to join in with the National day of mourning.

The reception will be held in the function room at the Hay Services & Fitness Club in Murray Street at 11.30 am and finishes at 3pm.

The event is free to attend, and guests encouraged to bring a plate of fine fare for the high tea and / or assist with flowers and greenery for the decorations and set up the day before. There will be a donation tin at door entry for a gold coin with proceeds donated to Women’s charities.

There will also be some raffles throughout the course of the day.

Following dress protocol for High teas in earlier years guests are encouraged to dress in their finery and any vintage accessories will be graciously welcomed.

Guests are also invited to bring along their photos of mothers and /or grandmothers and loved women in their lives for a collective display.

All of our local ladies, friends and seniors are welcome to attend this special event and please RSVP your attendance by Tuesday 20th to the Hay Services Club 69931206.
