Some FAQ about the 2022:
When is the bush dance?
It is Saturday, 19 November, from 6-9pm. Doors will open at 5:30pm.
Where is the bush dance?
The Hawkesbury Showground, Racecourse Rd Clarendon. Entry will be sign posted and direct you to on-site parking.
How do I buy tickets?

Or at the door. We accept cash or credit/debt card. Tickets are $20 per adult, $10 per teen or concession, with 12 and under free.
What is happening at the bush dance?
There will be various activities including lawn games, bush dancing lead by a caller, live music between dance sets and space to socialise with friends. There will also be a best dressed competition.
Which bands are performing?
The Bush Band is Barbwire, a local Hawkesbury trio that will teach the steps to all the dances. During breaks, The James Brothers, local Hawkesbury’s who have recently returned from the World Busking Finals in South Korea, will keep the fun going.
Will there be food available?
The Scouts will be running a fundraising BBQ with hamburgers and sausage sandwiches. There will be gluten free bread.
Will there be alcohol?
We do not have a license for this event, so there will be no BYO or on site sales of alcohol. We will have non-alcoholic cider, beer and wine available, along with traditional soft drinks. We will have alcohol available at future bush dances.
Do I need to bring anything?
Yourself, family, friends and solid pair of boots.
What is the dress code?
To enter the best dressed competition you need to be creative or original but on theme. Most people will be wearing their favourite flannie and a classy pair of boots, but it is up to you (within reason 😉).
What is a bush dance?
It is a traditional social event, often held in country town around Australia for over 100 years. The music is upbeat with a traditional Irish influence or more recently American. The dances can we partnered, group or line (solo) dances. The caller, will teach everyone prior to each song and then ‘call’ or shout the steps during each dance.
