The Harden Kite Festival is a fun family-friendly annual event held in the beautiful Hilltops region of NSW. The festival has exciting entertainment, rides, and free activities for children for all ages, including the adults! Professional kite flyers from all over Australia come to the festival and bring their array of beautiful, colorful, eye-catching kites.

The skies of Harden fill with giant whales, crabs, butterflies, spiders, and sponge bob just to name a few! You can browse the great range of interesting market stalls, enjoy the all-day ride or simply sit in the shade and enjoy the fun. There will be a variety of tasty food and good coffee available, or feel free to bring your own picnic.

🧺Bring your friends and family, a chair, a picnic rug and a scrumptious lunch and sit back and watch the professional kite flying demonstrations, enjoy street performers and live entertainment - or bring your favourite kite, maybe join a workshop and make your own - however you do it, go fly a kite! It's the friendliest, most accessible Festival in town - just $2 entry, $25 all day rides pass or 3 all day ride passes for $60 🪁

🌞 The days are getting longer and warmer and there’s a definite buzz in the air - the Community Bank Harden-Murrumburrah 2026 Harden Kite Festival is just around the corner...

🎪This year there will be all the usual festival fun: market stalls, food vans, sideshows and carnival rides, as well as badge and kite making workshops, live entertainment, vintage and customized cars, show bags full of goodies and of course, the main event – hundreds of the most exquisite, the most extraordinary, the most exciting Kites!

The Harden Kite Festival is only a breezy 1.5-hour drive from Canberra, or 3+ hours from Sydney (so you should stay awhile).

The view from Harden Racecourse of the beautiful Hilltops Region is stunning, there’s great food and drink or loads of space for a BYO picnic, tonnes of parking and you can enjoy this alcohol-free family-friendly event for only $2.00 donation per person, so what are you waiting for?
