can see all the flowers, smell them
as well as the trees and the desert.

The gumnuts remind you of the desert
after the rain - they make you think
of the dry sand in the heat and the

After a big day in the studio,
everyone needs a little shut eye.
Even the pups. 🐾

This little one has picked the
perfect spot, curled up next to
one of Virgillia Multa's beautiful
Bushflower and Seed work.

Look at that canvas. Full of rhythm,
every brushstroke moving like the
desert itself is breathing. Those
colours - the flush of pink, purple
and green - that's what the desert
looks like after the big rains come.
When the flowers push through and
the whole country comes alive.

five decades of Deadly First Nations strength, culture,
and absolute excellence.

We are right in the heart of NAIDOC Week, and
seeing our incredible community of customers
styling our wearable art leaves us absolutely
speechless.

Two puppies. One smile.
The perfect Saturday. 🐾

Arts worker Albie Jack - and two
very small yaka papas.

Albie grew up surrounded by paint,
canvas and Country. Son of Ikuntji

Artists founding member Kumantjai
Napanangka Jack, grandson of
Papunya Tula Artists founding member
Tutuma Jack - art is in everything
he comes from.

He's been part of this art centre
since 2015, working alongside his mother
in the studio, living with family
at their outstation close to Haasts Bluff.

And apparently also on puppy duty.

This is what Saturdays at Ikuntji
look like. We wouldn't have it
any other way.

Every line on this shirt is a sandhill.
Every sandhill has a story.

This shirt features the Tali in My Country
design by Maisie Jugadai.

Maisie has been painting the sweeping
sandhills west of Haasts Bluff
since 2008 - capturing the rhythm
of Country she knows intimately.

Her design walked New Zealand
Fashion Week in 2023. Now it's
on our Ronney Shirt - a relaxed
short sleeve with soft hand feel
and the kind of print that does
all the talking.

This is not fashion inspired
by Aboriginal art. This is
Aboriginal art, worn.

The Western Desert arrived in New York
at the this week.

On 16 June, an
string quartet performed at the
Metropolitan Museum of Art - at the
invitation-only opening of the Met's
new permanent gallery for
First Nations Australian art.

Violinists Robert Smith and Hannah Kim,
violist Amayah Ryan and cellist
Noah Lawrence performed alongside
award-winning composer and didgeridoo
artist William Barton, in front of
some of the world's most powerful
arts patrons.

And they did it wearing Ikuntji.

Amayah's glorious gown features
Kumantjai Napanangka Jack's
Kuruyultu Rockhole story -
shimmering in metallic screenprinted
tones under the museum lights.

The same designs that started in a small
art centre in the Western Desert -
now worn on one of the world's
greatest stages.

This is what cultural diplomacy
looks like.
