Not my usual content, but this is a cause very close to my heart so I wanted to share it with all of you 🫶🐓
On Saturday evening, over 300 hens were saved from certain death thanks to the help of multiple volunteers and adopters that gave these chickens a second chance at life. These girls are considered unviable on egg farms because they’re laying at 70-90% of what they would have been this time last year. But they’re not unviable in our eyes, and the eyes of all of the adopters who came and collected their hens at our adoption day yesterday.
is the charity that I team up with and they are dedicated to transforming the lives of unwanted farm animals through rescuing and rehoming. I feel so honoured to be apart of this life changing journey for these chickens and I’m so excited for all the future rescue missions that will take place. This is only my second collaboration with this charity but chickens are a big passion of mine so I’m sure you’ll be seeing posts like this in the future. 🧡 A special thanks to my Dad for putting up with my antics and helping me catch the chickens, set up the trailer, and just being super supportive. Much love to my Mum as well and my beautiful friend Ally for showing up and helping (even though chickens aren’t her favourite thing).
