๐ ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐ for a night of cinema, live music, and community
Gympie will play host to a bold new collaboration on June 26, 2026, when two celebrated festivals join forces for โON FILMโ in the Gympie Music Hall at 26 Channon Street Gympie from 6pm.
The event brings together Heart of Gold Short Film Festival and Space Girls Festival for an event dedicated to building community and showcasing women's and LGTBQI+ voices in film and music. The night promises to be equal parts celebration, storytelling, and rocking music.
Doors open at 6:00 PM for a program of short films that turn the lens on identity and screen queens and live music from Lattes for M.I.L.Fโs, a Sunnycoast three piece grunge/punk/rock wrecking ball. The Gympie Music Hall will transform into a pop-up cinema and performance space, offering a warm, accessible setting for an audience where all are welcome.
"Space Girls ON FILM is about creating a night where everyone feels welcomeโwhether you're a film lover, a music fan, or just looking for something interesting and creative," said Cindy Vogels, Founder and Co-Director of Space Girls Festival. "We're thrilled to bring these two festivals together in a relaxed, unpretentious space where stories and music can shine."
Tickets are limited and just $5 per person for under 25 years. The event is 13+ or with a parental guardian, with an emphasis on inclusivity, creativity, and community connection.
