Wonderful news for the Gympie community and the Gympie Civic Centre!

📣 Gympie Civic Centre News 📣

Council has signed off on the construction tender for the Civic Centre revitalisation, with Hutchinson Builders formally appointed to complete the project.

Construction works are expected to start in the new year, and we'll keep the community updated as the project progresses through the build in 2026.

💡 We're also looking for up to five local representatives to join our Precinct Reference Group (PRG) to help guide the planning and delivery of the facility's operations.

What we're looking for?
👉 Ideally, locals who have experience or skills in performing arts, events, hospitality, tourism, or venue operations.

What will you do?
👉 Successful residents will join the PRG which includes representatives from business, arts and culture, emergency services, senior citizens, and first nations.
👉 You will help shape the vision for the centre's future use, ensuring the renewed centre meets the needs of the community now, and into the future.

We're excited to bring this important community asset back to life, and create a space that all can enjoy 🎭

The latest show from Gympie Performing Arts Collaboration Inc is a fast-paced romp through the years of comedy.
There is something for everyone from songs and music to short skits, longer skits, and jokes. Some you may recognise from decades past that we have given a polish up and some which have sprung from the very creative minds of the cast and crew of Night of Nonsense.
Night of Nonsense is a sassy, risqué, two-act show aimed at a mature audience of 15 years and over with an open mind; a great sense of humour and a sense of the ridiculous thrown in for good measure. Get ready for lots of costume and set changes!
