A quick rap-up of the great night of Music we hand last Thursday

The open Mic entertainment got the evening started with Trevor
performing 2 songs sung Ca****la.
Followed by a lovely performance of 4 songs by Margaret, Sonya
and Gwyn.
Rachel and Alex then wowed the audience with their Musical and singing talent.

The Sutherland Acoustic Club is very pleased to present Brandy Mallard Duo (Rachel Collis /Alex Pringle)

Where: Tradies Gymea – Corner of Manchester Rd and The Kingsway, Gymea.
When: Thursday 8 October 7.30pm.
Cost: $20 cash only at the door.

Rachel Collis returns with her newly formed “indie folk” group called Brandy Mallard, featuring Alex Pringle on violin and Rachel Collis on (electric) piano.
Brandy Mallard is a refreshing return to the timeless craft of songwriting by blending instrumental prowess with heart-on-sleeve lyricism.

Where: Tradies Gymea - Corner of Manchester Rd and
The Kingsway, Gymea.
When: Thursday 10 September 7.30pm.

Fiddledance is an Illawarra based Aussie
Bush Band who plays various genres of
music, ranging from Australian bush songs
to Irish/Celtic and Bluegrass.

The Gymea Tradies Bluegrass Session is on again NEXT FRIDAY 28th August, meeting downstairs in the Kaimea Room, from 7.30pm to 10.30pm (but do check the notice board when you come in).
All stringed instruments, singers and listeners are welcome.
The session is usually held on the last Friday of the month (except December).
It helps Sutherland Acoustic if you become a member of the Tradies Club (you get cheaper drinks too!) rather than just sign in.

Thursday 13th August 2026, 7:30pm

With Spring approaching, who better to usher in the flowering season than Springtide, presenting a night of stellar music for hammered dulcimer, harp and cello.

Springtide is:
Jackie Luke on hammered dulcimer, cellist Rita Woolhouse and
Greg Wilson on harp.
Style and Repertoire: Sweeten your day with Springtide’s distinctive blend of more than one hundred strings.
Springtide performs Celtic influenced vocal and instrumental music, and touch on classical and world music genres.

The Gymea Tradies Bluegrass Session is on again Friday 26th June, we normally meet downstairs in the Kai-Mea Room, from 7.30pm to 10.30pm (but do check the notice board or ask the friendly Tradies staff at reception when you come in as we sometimes get moved to other rooms).
All stringed instruments, singers and listeners are welcome.
The session is usually held on the last Friday of the month (except December). Tradies is on the corner of Kingsway and Manchester Rd in Gymea, and has excellent parking, bar and bistro facilities, and is 5 minutes walk from Gymea train station.
It helps Sutherland Acoustic Club if you become a member of the Tradies Club (you get cheaper drinks too!) rather than just sign in.
