Springtide. Live Folk Music

Thursday 13th August 2026, 7:30pm

With Spring approaching, who better to usher in the flowering season than Springtide, presenting a night of stellar music for hammered dulcimer, harp and cello.

Springtide is:
Jackie Luke on hammered dulcimer, cellist Rita Woolhouse and
Greg Wilson on harp.
Style and Repertoire: Sweeten your day with Springtide’s distinctive blend of more than one hundred strings.
Springtide performs Celtic influenced vocal and instrumental music, and touch on classical and world music genres.

The Gymea Tradies Bluegrass Session is on again Friday 26th June, we normally meet downstairs in the Kai-Mea Room, from 7.30pm to 10.30pm (but do check the notice board or ask the friendly Tradies staff at reception when you come in as we sometimes get moved to other rooms).
All stringed instruments, singers and listeners are welcome.
The session is usually held on the last Friday of the month (except December). Tradies is on the corner of Kingsway and Manchester Rd in Gymea, and has excellent parking, bar and bistro facilities, and is 5 minutes walk from Gymea train station.
It helps Sutherland Acoustic Club if you become a member of the Tradies Club (you get cheaper drinks too!) rather than just sign in.
