Sõrve Summer Camp Estonian Children's Summer Camp held at Point Wolstoncroft in Lake Macquarie NSW Australia

Sõrve is a fun filled week for children of Estonian background, their friends and parents. Sõrve is located located at the NSW Sport and Recreation facility at Point Wolstoncroft on the beautiful Lake Macquarie on the New South Wales Central Coast. Held during the first full week in January the camp is primarily for children of Estonian heritage and children’s activities include a wide range of sp

orts such as volleyball, baseball, abseiling, ropes course, swimming, canoeing and rock climbing. Other activities include singing, rahvatants (folk dancing), camp fires, hikes, kasitoo (craft), theme nights and Estonian cultural activities. Parents are not neglected;with delightful day trips, sailing on the lake or bus trips through the local wineries, golf days, tennis tournaments and if time permits, parents may try their skills at the ropes, abseiling, canoeing and archery. Sõrve is a place where lifelong friendships have been made over generations. It is organised in a unique way providing a relaxed, safe atmosphere for all to enjoy.

🔵 What an absolute pleasure to host our Kids Disco and Eurovision Pub Night last night! We could not be more grateful to have wonderful support from our community, with 5 ex President's of Sõrve Sõbrad in full support of our current President We are well on our way to reach our fundraising goals for 2026!

💖A SUUR AITÄH to our helpers and community members who came along and supported Sõrve, from set up to partying and clean up!

💖 A special mention to for all her hard work and dedication in the kitchen! Pikkat catering lives on! for her incredible efforts from START to FINISH, truly a shining star! Külli and her little man Oliver, we could not have pulled it all together without you, in a big way! Kat for all your support in the kitchen! for taking on hosting the kids disco, not an easy task! for absolutely everything you do, including taking to the dance floor during Delta Goodrem's incredible performance! for your flow of drinks behind the bar, and of course to our wonderful Committee for bringing it all together!

💖 Aitäh again to each and everyone who attended. It was such a joy and privilege to watch the kids enjoy the disco, and have fun with the decorations, not to mention watching Eurovision on the big screen! More photos, exciting moments and even a .eia article to come! Watch this space.

📣Call For Volunteers!

As you probably have heard, the Sõrve Committee is hosting a Kids Disco and Eurovision Pub Night Party Fundraiser and we need your help! As we do not have an established leadership team yet for Sõrve 2027, we need the help of our wonderful community on the evening for as little or as long as you are able.

Please click the link below and fill out the form for preferences. In return you will join us for free for the evening however we still require you to pre-order and purchase you dinner. We will also provide you with a certificate of appreciation for your efforts to include in your CV.
