This is a special event on Gunning's community calendar. Each year we remember the incredible Bruce Hillier through the event he founded in Gunning. He was a treasured community member, and it is really special to have Craig Hillier, Monique Hillier, Zoe and Riley continue his legacy in organising it all. Forever thanks to the Hillier family for all they do in pulling this event together. It literally couldn't run without them!
This year was a big one for the Gunning team. A record number of entries and running the canteen again, but what a great weekend was had.
A big thank you to the local Guilfoyle and Piggot families for lending their cattle across the two days. To Brent Medway and Belinda and Wes Cosgrove for the transport. Mel Primmer and Melinda Medway organising a great canteen and Mel Willoughby organising the helpers on the Saturday through the Pony Club.
Thanks to everyone for the set up and the pack up, it really is a community effort and we couldn't be more thankful.
We are already looking forward to next year, which is odd to say as we usually take a few days to get over it all! This year we are already looking forward to the next one. Good luck to our friends in Yass who are hosting the next event, fingers crossed the sun comes out for a great weekend.
