The Shanahan’s Livestock Transport Junior Challenge contest is another very tight contest where tomorrow, in the R.M.Williams main arena we will see an exceptional young Junior competitor named 2026 champion adding their name to a who’s who of Challenge competition since we began this class back in 1995.
The first winner in 1998 was Jim Laverty and he was followed by champions like David Mitchell (our current defending open champion), Rhys Angland, Morgan Webb, John Mitchell, Daryl Baines, Will Harrison, Kelsie Lupton, Travis Bandy , Bill Phegan to name just a few, many of whom have gone on to achieve the greatest prize of them all, the Open Champion here at The Man From Snowy River Bush Festival.
There’s just 121pts between top qualifier Jack Lindley on 547pts who is only 45pts ahead of his older sister Claire), and number five qualifier Cooper Fitzgerald with 426pts beside his name.
Who’s got the nerves to handle the biggest final event of their young lives?
These awesome young Challenge competitors will take to the R.M.Williams main arena from 11.30am in the morning.
Please come and give them all the encouragement and support they deserve, the quality of competition sees this final as one of the closest we have seen in years, anyone of these five finalists can win.
