Hello everyone, I hope this finds you well and that yall have been able to get your games in!

For starters, I am very sorry that so much time has passed since I have last spoken, it has been a frantic few months of desperately trying to stay on top of both life events & my mental health. With this however I have some updates to share that I hope will please ❤️

In the past few weeks I have been spending time where I can reworking the discord into a form to better serve as a community hub for all you lovely people to engage with each other about the hobbies & games we love, with the rework further focusing on the ability to network, find games, share projects, trade games/cards, and chat with one another.

This process of iteration will continue for some time, and I will continue to chip away where I can. If you want to discuss ideas, things you would like to see or the overall direction of this community I strongly recommend speaking on them here in the server (which you can join at https://discord.gg/RbTXPQWQRY )

Another matter I am wanting to share with you all, albeit one that I feel guilty to ask is if anyone would be interested in a second round of mystery goodie bags? With the store closing there was some stock that was left over which I am wanting to get rid of, both as it is taking space but more importantly to cover living expenses/outstanding debts from the store. Hi everyone,

It is with a heavy heart that I must share with you that on Sunday, June 29th, Salton’s Games & Hobbies will be closing its doors. The community that has been formed by all of you lovely people has been beautiful to watch as it has grown and flourished, and I greatly appreciate each and every one of the people who have been here with us over the past three and a half years. However, I have reached a point where I must stop for the sake of my health & wellbeing.

I don't want the amazing community that has formed around the store to fall apart in its absence. Anyone that is interested in running or contributing to an organised continuation of something to support the Griffith & surrounding area’s gaming community, please reach out to me at [email protected] to discuss what can be done to assist such an effort.

Events will continue as normal until the store closes on Sunday, 29 June;
Weekly FNM / OPTCG - Each Friday/Saturday
Final Fantasy Prerelease - June 6th
BYO Games Night - June 7th
One Piece OP11 Prerelease - Date TBD

Any outstanding orders will be fulfilled by the end of the month, or have their deposits refunded.

Hey everyone, the Magic The Gathering: Final Fantasy set will be releasing on the 6th of June, and along with that we will be running a prerelease draft at 6:30pm on the night!

Prereleases are an event to explore the new cards in a friendly environment and a cheaper price tag, players recieve a kit with 6 Play Booster Packs, 1 Special Promotional Card, and a Spindown Die. Using these cards players construct a deck and play a few casual rounds of games.

There are 30 spaces available, preregister online at *Orrin; insert link or explode* or ask staff instore!

We are offering reduced pre-order prices for select products (see image) to benefit from the discounted price, pre-orders must be paid in full before Friday 30/05/2025.

# Happy May everyone!

Based on customer feedback, we are changing our operating hours on Saturday from 11am-6pm into 2pm-8pm!
This will be effective starting today, so please note the store will be opening at 2pm tomorrow.

Additionally don't forget there will be our monthly **BYO Games Night** which will be running from *6pm ~ 12am* Be sure to come join us tomorrow night to have fun, make friends and play games!!
(Entry is $20, dinner & boardgames included)

Due to unforeseen circumstances the Catan Tournament today is being rescheduled to Saturday 25/04/25 at 1pm.
On this day there will instead be *free entry for all who would like to enter*!

Tomorrow we are running a prerelease event for the newest Magic the Gathering set, Tarkir: Dragonstorm!
We will be both running a prerelease draft at 6:30pm and selling products from the set throughout the day.
