If your young creativist(s) fancies having a go at sewing their own patch then sign them up to join me for the “Patches of You” youth workshop thanks to City of Wanneroo.

FREE!!

Being run on the second week of the April school hols for a couple of hours in the arvo on Monday 13th April.

You just need to register a place for them to attend.

This creative, hands-on workshop is about designing and creating a patch that tells a story about who you are.

Goodness this year is already flying by and my “HOOP HOOP’ing” is kicking off with a Visible Mending workshop coming up on Sunday (22nd) thanks to City of Melville.

There are still tickets left if you fancy giving it a go!

Learn how to extend the life of your clothing by incorporating hand stitching techniques like appliqué, embroidery, and sashiko into repairs. Beginner friendly!

I’ve drafted a business plan - Hoop Hoop Hooray is starting to grow up from being “just a hobby business” to a big girl with training wheels. 🥹

These are my current Vision and Mission Statements and I’d love feedback as I’m sure they’re still both too lengthy. I just always have so much to say! 🤣♻️🪡

Sooooo next month something pretty *SPECIAL* is coming up …

The Great Global Mend - an Unofficial World Record Attempt! 🤗

With 16 Perth councils participating, this FREE event will take place across various locations in Perth @ 11:00 am on Saturday 11 October 2025.

You can attend to be a part of the (unofficial) world record attempt for the most people simultaneously mending textiles (between 11:00 am - 12:00 pm). 🪡

The main goal is for people to attend at their preferred location and to bring a worn item for repair, and join in the celebration of sustainability and community. ♻️

Check my list below for specific timings (as some are running longer than others) and you may need to register for your interest prior to the event.
