Yvonne Mann is the driving force behind Hightone Dance Academy. Established now for 41 years, Hightone Dance Academy is one of the leading dance schools in Geelong. Originally from Melbourne, Yvonne began her dance training with Dorothy Gladstone learning classical ballet with the Royal Academy of Dance. After years of training, receiving mostly High Honours and winning scholarships, Yvonne went o

n to study jazz as well as tap under the tutelage of Antonio Rodriguez a well known American teacher who taught the likes of Liza Minnelli and Peter Allen. Competiting in various competitions throughout Australia,Yvonne has won Ballet Scholarships, Tap Scholarships, and Jazz Awards. Completing her diplomas with both the Australian Theatrical and Ballet Dancing Pty Ltd and the Australian Theatrical Dance Inc. Yvonne holds teaching diplomas in Tap, Theatrical, Classical and Jazz. Yvonne was a founding member of Splashdance in Geelong. Opening a school for dance was always her dream and after 41 years of teaching has established Hightone as one of the leading dance schools in Geelong for quality and technique with former students now teaching In Melbourne and dancing professionally here and overseas. Yvonne & Jocelyn have now full qualifications to teach ACROBATICS. With classes in Highton & Grovedale we cater classes for all ages & abilities. A fully qualified dance & acrobatic teacher, Jocelyn teaches all aged children in all styles of dance including our seperate Acrobatic class and Acro Jazz for the younger children.

We would like to thank all our families for the love and support during this time of uncertainty & needing to finish Term 1 early.
We are unsure when we are allowed to restart classes in Term 2 & beyond but will be keeping you all up to date with any information we receive.
