We've been busy!🌟🏺

On Friday 22nd May, the Gallery was buzzing with curious minds, great questions and plenty of fun as we were treated with behind-the-scenes talk from exhibiting artist Lynda Draper. The artist shared stories and insights into her ever-evolving creative practice.
-
We then got creative with a clay workshop held offsite in Collector, led by Lynda Draper and supported by ceramicist Kate McKay. Participants spent the day sculpting, connecting, and embracing the forms of working with clay. From beginners to experienced makers, everyone was left inspired, a little muddy, and excited to see their fired creations.

A huge thank you to Lynda, Kate, our participants and hosts ✨

Welcome to the latest instalment of ‘Paws on Public Art’, a recurring public art initiative that sees the Goulburn Mulwaree Animal Shelter and Goulburn Regional Art Gallery collaborate to support local animals in need.

Across 2026, 'Paws on Public Art' will bring vibrant artworks, inspiring stories, and new opportunities to connect. Showcasing both pup and public artwork on social media platforms, community spaces are embraced as places that celebrate kindness, creativity, and second chances.

Highlighting animals currently in care at the Goulburn Mulwaree Animal Shelter, Paws on Public Art invites audiences to consider adoption of these cute canines, through a shared love of art.

Who needs an Oscar when you’ve got an Emmy. 🎬

My Handler and I made a quick stop in Marulan, but now I’m standing here questioning everything I knew about the place. A giant whale in the middle of an oval?

This isn’t a pit stop anymore. This is the opening scene of a soothing David Attenborough deep dive.

Painted by local artist Michael Thomson, this mural sits exactly on the line of longitude where Australian eastern standard time is determined. It’s very important. Personally, I determine time by snack intervals and belly rubs.

Speaking of time, it takes me quite a bit to warm up to new friends. A bit like a slow-burn character development.

I’m looking to be the solo cuddly canine of your family, which will be perfect for autumnal cinema season. I’m into movies like Pup Fiction, Jurassic Bark, Star Paws, The Bark Knight, and Indianna Bones.

I love to snuggle up to someone who is patient enough to bond with me, and sink into a blockbuster with Mutt Damon, Jude Paw, Woofie Goldberg or even Jessie Barkley.

Roll credits. Cue emotional soundtrack and let me be the award you take home for the rest of your life. Visit my Pet Rescue Page or click the link in bio and Goulburn Mulwaree Animal Shelter Staff will set up your audition!
