What a night for Goulburn! 👏

Last night’s Don Giovanni was a sold-out show—and among the incredible voices on the GPAC stage were some very special local ones.

A huge congratulations to the young singers from Hume Conservatorium’s Musical Theatre Class, who joined Opera Australia’s cast as part of the National Tour’s Regional Children’s Chorus program. ❤️

Opera Australia’s National Tour is about so much more than bringing a world-class production to regional stages. Their community engagement program gives young people the chance to rehearse and perform alongside professional singers and musicians—for many, their first experience of professional theatre.

We were thrilled to see that opportunity come to Goulburn, and even prouder to see our local young performers step up and absolutely own the stage.

And a very special shout out to Debra McConnell for all the work, guidance and encouragement she put into preparing the chorus. 👏 We know there was plenty of hard work behind the scenes to get these young singers ready for their big night!

And thank you to Opera Australia for continuing to make regional communities such an important part of your National Tour.
