Performance Opportunities for young singers!
Do you love to sing and perform?

Register NOW to audition for Central Coast Children's & Youth Choir, and the chance to perform in Opera Australia's Regional tour of “Barber of Seville” at The Arthouse Wyong on Saturday 27 August 2022!

AUDITIONS:
9 - 14 years wanted for Children's Choir program!
14+ for Youth Choir program!

Would you like to join a weekly choir and performance class?

Students will learn the basics of reading music, and beginner vocal techniques, including how to warm up their voices safely, how to sing beautifully together, how to sing with a conductor and a crash course in the beauty of the Italian language.

Along with performance skills; drama basics, understanding stage directions, and learning fun choreographed movements which will enable the students to present with confidence on stage.

The Central Coast Conservatorium of Music /Central Coast Opera Children's Choir has a number of performance projects coming up.

We have been invited to perform with Opera Australia in their regional tour of ‘Barber of Seville’ at The Arthouse Wyong on Saturday 27 August 2022.
We will be holding auditions on Wednesday 4 May
Venue: Gosford Presbyterian Church 14 Young Street

Audition Criteria:
Must be between the ages of 9 - 14 on the performance date to participate in the Opera Australia Project.
14+ welcome to participate in all other projects
Experience: It is preferred that students have experience in a choir, vocal ensemble, school musical, community musical, or have played an instrument in a school orchestral band or ensemble.
Rehearsals will commence on Monday 9 May at Gosford Presbyterian Church
Dress Rehearsal with Opera Australia at the Arthouse Wyong: Fri 26 Aug: 6.30 – 8.30pm
Performances: Sat 27th August: 1.30pm & 7.30pm

AUDITIONS: Children between the ages of 9 - 14 wanted for Children's Choir!

The Central Coast Conservatorium of Music /Central Coast Opera Children's Choir has been invited to perform with Opera Australia in their regional tour of ‘Carmen’ at The Arthouse Wyong on Tuesday 13 July and Wednesday 14 July 2021.

We will be holding auditions this Saturday 8 May at the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music, 45 Mann Street, Gosford.

We have 4 auditions spots left available!
Audition Criteria:
Must be between the ages of 9 - 15 on the performance date
Experience: Students must have experience in a choir, vocal ensemble, school musical, community musical, or played an instrument in a school orchestral band or ensemble.

● Rehearsals will commence on Monday 10th May at the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music
● OA rehearsal Monday 12 July at the Arthouse Wyong 4 - 8pm
● Performance Tuesday 13th July 2021 at The Arthouse, Wyong
● Performance Wednesday 14th July 2021 at The Arthouse, Wyong

A big shout out of CONGRATULATIONS to our sultry 'Carmen', Angelique Tot - Classical Singer on her upcoming trip to Berlin Opera Academy. Angelique will be performing one of her dream roles & we look forward to hearing more about this exciting journey.

Central Coast Opera Alumni Hannah Greenshields first won our hearts in 2017 as the feisty Fresquita in Carmen, then again as the seductress Musetta in La Boheme for Central Coast Opera. This year Hannah was accepted into the young artists program with Pacific Opera as well as running her own speech pathology clinic while also maintaining The Food Farm: Central Coast Produce. We look forward to seeing what she is up to next.

An entrepreneur, Hannah is a Speech Pathologist working within her own clinic, and co-owns The Food Farm: Central Coast Produce – a business connecting people with agriculture and local produce at a grass roots level.
