Yamaha Music Australia has reopened applications for its Main Stage Grant, with three Australian music creators to receive $5,000 cash and $5,000 worth of Yamaha equipment!

Applications close at 10am AEST on Tuesday 6 October, with finalists to be announced on Tuesday 27 October.

VOICES: Unbound – New Works in Community is a new artist commissioning program from FunHaus Factory that will invest $25,000 directly into Central Coast artists, with five artists or collectives receiving $5,000 commissions plus mentorship, residency support, venue access, technical assistance, and a pathway to public presentation.

They're on the lookout for performing artists whose voices are often underrepresented in the arts, and will prioritise applications from:

• First Nations creatives
• Artists living with disability
• LGBTQIA+ creatives
• CALD creatives
• Women and gender-diverse artists
• Other underrepresented communities

Join us in celebrating local legends Lou Sawileskij (co-founder of .coast.music.arts ) ☀️ and composer/Pianos for the People founder Yantra de Vilder 🎹 for the significant and lasting contributions they have made in assisting female and gender-diverse artists on the Central Coast!

Lou and Yantra have both been named as finalists for the Humanitarian Award! 🌟 If you live on the Coast, you have likely been touched by the profound impact each of these dedicated visionaries have had on bringing the community together through the arts.

Whether it's a refurbished piano singing life into the streets or an emerging artist receiving support from industry professionals (to summarise but a few of their respective gifts), these are the faces behind some of your best moments in music, whose tireless work continues to light up the Coast with joy and opportunities. Support Act is undertaking a national review, led by First Nations people, to better understand the experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples working across Australia's contemporary music industry.

The review is open to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who currently work, have previously worked, or are seeking to build a career in Australia's contemporary music industry.

Whether you're on stage or behind the scenes in the industry, your story matters.

🌟 New Grant Just Launched for First Nations Creative and Professional Development​ 🌟 Apply for funding up to $30,000 to support your music career!

There's a free online info session with next Wednesday 26 August from 1pm-1.45pm for First Nations artists, industry professionals and music businesses to help you learn more about the program and navigate the application process (See link below)

Get your application in by 21 September, 2pm and apply for funding to support:

* Producer and Artist Collaborator Fees
* Studio, Recording, Mixing and Mastering costs
* Pressing and Manufacturing
* Digital marketing, Publicity services and Content creation
* Administrative costs
* Fees to attend or participate in workshops, camps, mentorships, residencies and other career development opportunities
* Purchase of equipment essential to your music career, including instruments, hardware and software (up to $5,000).
