Hugggggeest happy birthday to our amazing Community Manager Shanae! Her birthday was Monday, but we held off on the post so we could take a pic at her birthday lunch today and then forgot to take photos 🤦‍♀️ (Sorry Shanae!)

Shanae has been such an enthusiastic, fun, caring and hardworking music advocate over the years, not just for us here at CCMA, but the whole Central Coast music scene. She attends more live music than anyone we know, she truly cares about artists and gives countless hours of her time and energy to help local artists. We’ve been so lucky to have her on the CCMA team and the Coast arts scene is lucky to have her here!

🎨 OPPORTUNITY ALERT 🎨

Entries are now open for the Gosford Art Prize 2026!

Open to artists from across Australia working in any medium, this long-running award offers a prize pool of more than $55,000, including the Major Acquisitive Prize, Ceramics Prize, First Nations Artist Prize and Moving Image Art Award.

Presented by Gosford Regional Gallery, the Gosford Art Prize has been a cultural highlight on the Central Coast for decades, showcasing outstanding contemporary art from around the country.

📅 Entries close: 20 July, 4pm
📣 Finalists announced: 7 August
🖼️ Exhibition: 25 September – 22 November

Like many across the Coast, we were saddened to hear that Six String Brewing Company has entered voluntary administration.

For years, Six String has been far more than just a brewery. They've been a champion of live music, a supporter of local artists, festivals, charities, community events, and countless creative initiatives that make the Central Coast such a vibrant place to live.

Independent venues like Six String are the lifeblood of our music and arts community. They provide stages for emerging artists, spaces for people to connect, and opportunities for our creative sector to thrive.

If you've been meaning to visit, now is a great time. Grab a meal, enjoy a drink, catch some live music, join a trivia night, bring some friends along, or simply spread the word. Every bit of support helps.

We know how much this venue means to so many people, and we'd hate to see another live music venue disappear from our region.

Calling all young music lovers! 🎶⚡

The Push Music Careers Expo is returning to Sydney in 2026, offering a free day of workshops, keynote speakers and conversations with people working across the Australian music industry.

If you’re passionate about music and curious about the many career opportunities behind the scenes, this is a great chance to learn, ask questions and gain valuable insights from industry professionals.

The expo is ideal for students, but young people outside of school are welcome too. Plus, young people aged 15–17 can apply to join the volunteer team and gain hands-on event experience.

Attendance is free, but registrations are essential.
