Super proud of our girl Stormy. Another admirable second in a race full of challenges. Thanks to the driving of the amazing Angela Chapman she not only stayed on her feet, but led most of the race, only to be run down on the home straight. What a mighty effort.
Check out the video in comments, taken this morning. She’s certainly back to her energetic self.

After a hectic week of campers, the farm was almost empty last night. Thanks to all the lovely people who stayed, it was great to meet you.
It re iterated how much people love the simple things.
A patch of grass, a nature shower to wash the sand off after the beach, or an early morning shower with nature.
Feeding hay to horses, patting the cats, and enjoying the peaceful space without another camper on your doorstep.
If your looking for a campsite that is not a caravan park, love the idea of a farm camp, close to the beach, river and an easy drive to everythingthe beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula has to offer, give me a call and book a site at our peace of paradise.
Photos just don’t do justice to how great it is, has been a comment I’ve heard repeatedly in the last 10 days.
Bookings essential, (0409554266), but plenty of unpowered sites available, and some powered throughout January.
Hope to see you soon.
Cheers Vicki and Mick

Mick and I (and a few awesome tradies) have been extremely busy doing some long awaited improvements in the unpowered area.
Winter has been kind with the weather and the lawns have covered well.
Big shed is up, our caravan finally has a roof over it, and the new amenities are almost complete.
Two new toilets and two showers, all designed with Mick’s individual funk factor are just gorgeous.
There’s also a kitchen sink/ bench and gas hot plate, with everything running of solar and gas.
The bullnose verandah provides the perfect spot to enjoy the day whilst sheltering from the wind, overlooking the back paddocks and the hills beyond.
Soon the boat will be moved, leaving plenty of under cover area to socialise.
Can’t wait to see it finished.
We did have a sneaky test run for lunch today when Graham from Middleton Plumbing finished hooking up the sink and hot plate.
It will all be operational by the October Long Weekend, just in time for camping.
Big thanks to Shane Bayley and the crew, Joe Spriggs, Shane Samuels and his boys, and especially Mick for his vision and creativity

It’s been quite a while since we posted any photos of Max, so here’s a couple taken this afternoon
He’s growing well, is quite inquisitive and likes his big sister Stormy nearly as much as his Mum

As the sun is setting, our foals are having so much fun.
We moved the horses into the front paddock today and Max, Ken and Nutmeg are loving the mounds of sand.

Hope to see lots of familiar faces today at the garage sale to grab a piece of history

Finally Poppy delivered a healthy c**t, and yes we are sure it’s a boy. Now Maxie has a playmate in the paddock. We’ve named him Ken, after Mick’s dear Dad.
This is Ken trying to find a drink 😊

Maxie is getting very curious, but Betty doesn’t want him to get too close to Mick. Very cute paddock antics❤️❤️

After a few days of deliberation we have name our new foal “Maxie”, in honor our our beautiful brother-in-law who recently passed away.
If Maxie has the agility, speed, grit and determination on the track, that his namesake Max took onto the tennis and squash court, he will be a force to be reckoned with.
PS The foal didn’t have a s*x change since the first post. The hubby just got it wrong 😉. After checking the foal on Sunday morning Michael came in and told me that our filly had a problem 😔
Apparently she stretched out to have a wee and it came out of the middle of her guts, instead from the backend 😂😂
Sure sign that she was a he 👍✌️❤️❤️

Mick and I have been on foal watch for a couple of weeks, and this morning Waffle finally delivered a filly.
Another long legged sister in the paddock for Poppy and Stormy.
Only a few weeks and Poppy will have hers too
Stay tuned for the next baby update

Lucy and Wreck’s just hanging out with us while we tidied up the fire pit area.
Can’t believe how much they love each other ( and us )
More photos in comments 🥰😍
