A creative space that holds acrylic on canvas art classes for those wanting to explore their creativity and build art skills. The Little Brick Art Studio is a creative space in Tallebudgera Valley on the Gold Coast (10mins from Burleigh Heads) which holds art classes and for adults and children wanting to explore their creativity and build art skills. Melanie is passionate about

teaching art as she believes the creative process to be a joyful and empowering activity that provides a platform for self expression. Creating art can assist with feeling calm, feeling hopeful and give a great sense of achievement and Melanie feels excited about providing a place where people can come to embrace their creativity as well as learn new skills.The classes Melanie offers are aimed at complete beginners to intermediate painters and cover painting techniques, colour mixing, art knowledge and design elements. This knowledge will assist you to create the artworks that you really feel inspired to produce. The main medium used used within these classes is acrylic paint on canvas or paper with other mediums such as pastels, graphite and charcoal being explored from time to time. Acrylic paint is a versatile and straight forward medium to start painting with. It is very forgiving and easy flowing with a quick dry time therefore its easy to paint multiple layers almost straight away.Although there will be lengthy discussions and teachings based around skill and technique Melanie also believes there is great power purely in the process of creating. Creating without focusing on the final outcome can sometimes teach us the most about different skills, techniques and how to trust your creative intuition. Therefore, there is no pressure to feel you need to produce masterpieces in order to be gaining and learning. Melanie is very supportive of any creative expression and is happy to work with you on any art designs you have in mind.Melanie endeavors to create a judgement free, inspired and caring community within in each of her classes where everyone can feel confident to create their own unique pieces.
