Nightcreatures

Nightcreatures We bring the adorable native creatures rarely seen into your home or businees for you to see and mar Night Creatures is the public face of Elapid Environmental.

Night Creatures was envisioned to present to the public, creatures that live around us at night and are not easily seen. On your daily activities you will see the diurnal creatures around you, but too often we don't appreciate those creatures that come out at night. Think of the old adage "out of sight, out of mind", we will endeavor to present these nocturnal creatures to you so that they are br

ought back into your mind. By bringing these night creatures into your conscious hopefully you will become more aware of their plight. The greatest threat to our wildlife is habitat destruction. You can help by ensuring that as many trees are allowed to stand as possible. The next biggest threat to our Night Creatures is cats. Cats left to roam WILL eat wildlife. By ensuring your pet cat is kept inside at all times you will be saving many many Night Creatures. Another big problem to wildlife is dogs. Dogs attack animals that enter your backyard. By ensuring your dog is either properly trained or restrained indoors you will be protecting wildlife.

Today’s display involved the Blue Tongue being abused by the residents.
A group of local birds numbering over 30 displayed their disgust with screams and swooping.
The Blue Tongue just relaxed and ignored them.

Some animals adapt to city life and become one with human habitats.
Redhead Agamas in West Africa are one of those species.
This male Redhead Agama lives above a street vendor and eats the scraps of food dropped by people.
