A dream only I can see Jasmine Straga “Te Hokinga Mai”

So this post is a little late, but a little over a week ago I arrived back home from China.

During my time there, I had the privilege of meeting some incredibly talented, hardworking young foot jugglers. They were all so kind, sweet, and full of heart. I don’t think they realise just how fond I grew of each and every one of them.

Pei Qi, the young girl in the third photo, holds a very special place in my heart. She was the first local friend I made at the school, and from that moment she made me feel so welcome.

My laoshi also holds a very special place in my heart. She shared the same passion for umbrellas that I do, and she has the most wonderful sense of humour. We got along so well, and although I hate that we’re now so far apart, I know we’ll always stay in touch.

Saying goodbye to her was incredibly difficult. She became emotional, and it definitely had me tearing up too. Two months doesn’t seem like a long time, but when you spend six hours a day together, you build a very special bond. I’ll never forget her. She has left such a meaningful mark on my life, just as my classmates have.

I’ll miss them all so much, but I truly hope our paths cross again someday whether that’s performing together somewhere in the world or simply seeing where life takes each of us.

Not long left now for my time training in China! 🇨🇳✨ I’m excited to head home, keep developing my skills, and bring everything I’ve learned here into my routine. I can’t wait to share what’s next!
