A recent Parliamentary Committee report has made some major recommendations about overhauling rules for e-bikes and e-scooters.
The LNP Crisafulli Government will work quickly to respond to the recommendations so that we can restore safety where we live. I want to hear from you – what do you think about the proposed changes?

🚨 UPDATE: The Parliamentary Inquiry into E-Bikes/PMDs has now reported to Parliament.

Illegal e-bikes have been causing chaos on our streets, in our parks and along our foreshore — which is why I pushed for this inquiry.

The report recommends:

• A minimum riding age of 16 with a licensing system
• Drug and alcohol testing for riders
• Confiscation of illegal devices
• Fines for young riders and accountability for parents
• Anti-tampering laws and retailer obligations
• A new offence for riding without due care near pedestrians

Now the report has been tabled, the Crisafulli LNP Government will move quickly to respond.

Oh Twinning! There is a new low developing in the Gulf today and the other one is still out near Willis Island east of Cairns. The longer these systems stay over water the higher chance they have of becoming a cyclone.
31U in the Gulf is forecast to intensify slowly move west and cross the NT coast. 29U in the Coral is forecast to gradually intensify and move west to south west then cross the North or Central QLD coast.
HSC subscribers we are issuing our tropical low / cyclone track and intensity map this morning. It will be emailed, app notified and published in the members portal on our website and app.

Up north certainly does not need any more rain but we would absolutely LOVE some in SEQLD if it can get down here please.... Thanks!

Just wanted to share what a difference a decent solar system makes - before solar installation, the orange 4 days = $16 in electricity usage, and post-solar installation, the yellow 4 days = $0.48. I installed 13kw solar panels, a 10kw inverter, and 33kw battery storage. I run the AC all day and night without draining the battery; this morning at 6am, the battery was at 59%. Getting the right system is extremely important, and whatever you do, only buy a 10kw inverter. A big shout out to the team at for doing an amazing job.
Now I just need to source the right electricity plan - any recommendations?

Wild weather moving towards GC from the south

8:10pm Northern Rivers / 7:10pm Gold Coast Storm Warning: A cluster of severe storms producing heavy rainfall, very frequent lightning, strong to locally damaging winds and some localised large hail, are moving North East with the Southerly wind change. These storms are currently located over Lismore, Kyogle and areas Inland from Byron Bay, Ballina and Ocean Shores - they are moving towards Murwillumbah, Burringbar, Tweed Heads, the Springbrook Ranges and Southern parts of the Gold Coast - possibly even into areas like Rathdowney and Beaudesert too.
