Payday Super is creating real challenges across the music industry.

While the reform is an important step towards improving retirement outcomes for artists and music workers, we're hearing that implementing the changes isn't always straightforward in a sector built around gigs, festivals, project-based work and multiple engagement models.

Music Victoria has been collecting examples from across our community and sharing them with Creative Workplaces, to help inform practical guidance and support. Those examples are now being used to work through industry scenarios with the Tax Institute.

If you're looking for reliable information, these are the best places to start:

👉🏽Creative Workplaces – Superannuation Resources

👉🏽ATO – Super for performers and related activities
https://www.ato.gov.au/businesses-and-organisations/super-for-employers/work-out-if-you-have-to-pay-super/super-for-sportspeople-performers-film-makers-and-related-activities

We'll continue advocating for practical implementation that recognises how Australia's music industry actually works.

If you're experiencing challenges or unintended impacts, we'd love to hear from you. 📨 [email protected]

What a spectacular night! ✨🎭

Not every day you get to perform with a massive LED screen behind you making you feel like a superstar! A stunning corporate event for Rewards Hospitality Gala Awards Night where no expense was spared, bringing our bespoke “Phantom, Beauty & Beyond” production to life.

The Two Tenors Roger Davy & Matt Leigh with beautiful soprano Gabrielle Diaz
took the audience on a musical journey from the drama of Phantom of the Opera to the magic of Beauty and the Beast, culminating in a breathtaking finale.

An unforgettable night of music, theatre and pure magic! 🎶🌟

A huge thank you to and for the opportunity to be part of such a spectacular evening and to everyone behind the scenes who brought this incredible event to life.
