When they let the Netty Norks loose in Lismore there was bound to be trouble, and trouble is exactly what ensued. Decked out with two gold medals round our necks, with our very own snapbacks and t-shirts, clutching our goon-filled NN drink bottles close like life-preservers, we proceeded to show all the other clubs on campus how to party in style. And still get the results on the court. We backed
up down in RADelaide for Nationals like only the coolest club could, with the Griffith Cheerios hiring a car to support all the other sports (AKA run reds to get the ballers to their game on time..), in a whole new wardrobe of NN merchandise; snapbacks, hoodies, singlets, sunnies, ribbons and don't forget the bows of course. Last year we killed it on the frozen courts down in Armidale, battling hangovers and -7 degree winds, all in the name of Northern Uni Games. Nationals were a week-long whirlwind of carving it up to ALL I DO IS WIN on the netball court and ultimate domination… on the D-Floor! The hype for sport at Griffith in 2013 is already building as the members of the NN prepare to outdo themselves once again. We'll be entering teams into a local competition on Monday nights and of course… the ACTUAL reason we all attend uni (and breathe for that matter)... UNI GAMES. NUGs is set for BRISBANE and AUGs will be held back here on our home turf! So start saving now as we want YOU to be there to bear witness the shenanigans I’ll be sure to forget. Are YOU ready for a rave cave? C’mon, lace up those netball shoes, dust off your party pants and embrace the VORTEX so you can fulfill your born purpose in life and help us show it to Bond once again, which when you get right down to it, is the only thing that really matters! Keep an eye out for updates about trials, training and fundraising events, but more importantly… regular excuses to party in style with the Norks!
