Every painting begins long before the final image appears.

It starts with colour, movement and instinct.
There are moments when I have no idea where the painting is leading, and moments when I question every decision. Yet, with patience, each layer begins to reveal something unexpected.

Embraced was created in much the same way. What began as abstract marks gradually became a quiet moment between a mother koala and her joey—a reminder of comfort, safety and unconditional love.

The finished painting is only one part of the story. Sometimes, the journey of becoming is just as meaningful.
