Two very special people who supported Sveta from the very beginning including playing live at Sveta’s original shows at La Boheme in Adelaide. Sveta still uses the majority of backing tracks that Dieter created for her. They have led an amazing life. Go see the exhibition if you can ❤️💋❤️
Russian Community Centre and Arts on The Parade group are getting ready for the exhibition to celebrate Dieter and Ally Hauptmann, their incredible lives, their work, and the beautiful relationship they’ve built with the Russian Community here in Adelaide.
The exhibition is called "Listen to My Photos," and it will be a heartfelt journey through their life story.
Photography: Dieter is a gifted photographer. His work has been displayed in some wonderful venues across South Australia. He even created high-quality tourist brochures for Port Lincoln while teaching high school students the art of photography.
Audio: We’ll share recordings that are close to his heart – from Russian music to his own original compositions, along with personal and official records.
Video: Over the years, Dieter captured so many special moments on video, especially from RCC events and his time with the Balalaika group. Some of you might even recognize yourselves in these clips.
Hand-made Instruments: It’s amazing to think that he could create musical instruments with his own hands – instruments that don’t just work but can truly touch your soul.
And so much more: There’s also a huge collection of memorabilia, photo albums, notes, newspaper clippings, drawings, and other treasures that tell the story of their journey.
The official opening will be on Friday, 6th March, as part of the First Friday Club night.
