🇦🇺 Crown Casino Table Game Reforms Delayed

Victoria’s Parliament is extending the deadline for mandatory player cards on table games like blackjack and roulette at Crown Melbourne until 1 December 2027.

The reform—meant to reduce gambling harm—was recommended by the Royal Commission, and is already in place for slots. But Crown says it needs more time to adjust, or it risks shutting down table games and losing up to 1000 jobs.

Some MPs argue the delay is necessary for job security, while others say Crown has had more than enough time to prepare.
