Did you know that the legendary referee Pierluigi Collina:-

◾️ The only referee who had the VAR in his eyes.
◾️ This referee could communicate in 4 languages on the field (French, Spanish, Italian and English).
◾️ Before each game, he studied the game and the players of the teams he would lead and learned the names of the players.
◾️ During the 2002 World Cup final in Japan, Ronaldo gave him his shirt and the ball. The players from Brazil and Germany had congratulated him on his performance.
◾️ Footballers had huge respect for him and even fear, just by his presence. 🙌
◾️ He is also the only referee who has been on a video game jacket.

We have Interviews with Deutsche Welle tomorrow Monday 17th July at Runaway Bay Soccer Club 3pm-4pm … the crew will be there from 2pm to set up.
Deutsche Welle or DW as they are called are a German TV company with 289 million weekly viewers 📺
With the ⚽️ World Cup firing up in Australia shortly they are keen to chat with Mangrove Jack players and coordinators to discuss opportunities as a new indigenous group in the world game.
We’ve already had a wonderful segment produced by SBS world news, so we’re looking forward to more posit e exposure for the Jacks.

Check out my new offering made possible with the support of HOTA Home of the Arts “Rage against the V(irus) program” ... I decided to leave it until NAIDOC week to celebrate this beautiful place we call home. We are very proud Kombumerri people (Gold Coast) and together with my family we decided to make the most of a bad situation and reconnect to our salt water escapes in our very own paradise. I can say we all felt the immediate release of stress and worry in doing so. The hidden pockets of Currigee (South Stradbroke) and waterways helped us to connect more with ourselves and create something uplifting during these incredibly weird times. FIND YOUR TRUTH.
