Part live theatre, part film, part mind-bending journey through the universe. Night Night is unlike anything you've seen before.

Follow Antarctic scientist Pip as a quest to uncover the origin of life leads her into a mysterious hidden dimension, complete with glowing entities, penguins and questions bigger than the universe itself.

Created live on stage using puppetry, animation and DIY digital magic.

HOTA Ideas is a forum for leading artists, thinkers and cultural practitioners to share perspectives through public lectures and in-conversation style talks.

Presented alongside the photography exhibitions Love on the Goldy and Loving: Photographs of Men in Love 1850s-1950s, this panel brings together a group of local q***r voices to speak honestly about love in all its forms.

ArtLab with Mark du Potiers โ€“ Robot Rizz!

Are robots taking over HOTA?! Join guest artist Mark du Potiers for a sustainable robot-making workshop where kids and adults build colourful cardboard robots together!

RX78-2 currently showing in This Moment: Highlights from the White Rabbit Collection of Chinese Contemporary Art, is not your typical robot. The artist Kung Wen Yi ้žๆ–‡ๅฎœ has used traditional ceramic techniques and colouring known as sancai ไธ‰ๅฝฉ, associated with small-scale pottery vessels and figurines, to portray the larger than life, high tech robot.

In this workshop, weโ€™ll explore the possibilities of a range of unlikely art materials to represent a multitude of possible robotic functionalities and fulfil our sci-fi fantasies!

Join us for a fantastic day of celebration with the LGBTQIA+ community on the Gold Coast.

We'll have a full stage of live entertainment, food trucks, stall holders, vendors, a kids/family activity section, Drag Pageant, Pet Parade, a fully licensed bar and much more! Plus, we'll kick off the day with a Pride March from 11am!
