Alair Pambegan continues his ancestors’ traditions through sculpture using the distinctive red, white and black ochre from his Country in Cape York Peninsula.

His installation, Kalben-aw story place of Wuku and Mukam the flying fox brothers, honours the significant ancestral narrative connected to the creation of the Milky Way and the legacy of his father.

Exhibiting now at HOTA Gallery.
