This piece is titled Ballerina as it represents the very first rays of sunlight each day and the way their light makes the ocean waves dance and sparkle as the Sun shines his light on the depths of the sea.

Those first sparks of orange and deep gold that colour the sky and bring light, fire and full attention to the darkness of the water, creating a ballet of light, motion and graceful movement every morning. The rhythm of the waves and the growing warmth of the Sun creating a living artwork, unprompted, every day.

The artwork has a complete base of gold leaf (front and back) overlaid with white acrylic paint and pen with light, airy intricate patterning mimicking the sea foam and the clouds. Painted on wooden panel.

Ballerina has been hanging at the The Artist Hub Gold Coast for the past while and will be moving to my online store and galleries shortly. If you'd like to see the piece in person, visit the gallery this weekend
