Howdy folks, believe it or not its that time of year again when we head down to the beautiful Marion Bay, location of the amazing experience known as The Falls Festival. And again as each year, for those of you loyal and brave enough to accept this mission, there's an induction for you guys to complete. Can you let myself or Forthy know afterwards so we can update lists. Any questions just contact either of us. More info to come in the next few days.

EVENT INDUCTION – Falls Festival Marion Bay

Everyone who is coming on to the Falls Festival site needs to complete this induction prior to beginning work. This should take 10-15 minutes only.
Please ensure you list your employer or team name in the ‘Company Name’ field, and select the appropriate team from the ‘Role/Position’ dropdown (i.e. St John would write ‘St John’ in the ‘Company Name’ field, and select ‘Medical Team’ in the ‘Role/Position’ dropdown).
Once the induction is complete you will receive a COMPLETION RECEIPT. Please ensure that you save this receipt to your phone or print it out – you will be asked to show the receipt when you arrive on site.
Please ensure you complete this induction by Monday 16th December.

STEP 2: Complete the module called 2019 FALLS FESTIVAL MARION BAY EVENT ONLY INDUCTION

STEP 3: Complete the induction ASSESSMENT

Hey rockdogs, we are still waiting on a heap of invoices to come in for Falls. We only have invoices from a few of you guys and want to get pays done and out of the way. Please think carefully about your times, nearly everyone was knocked at 1430 on the out, i know it was after 1500 before we drove out of there but you need to put the time you were knocked, we have all done this for long enough now that we should know this. Will be starting pays tonight beginning with those who have sent in their invoice. Again you must be accurate with your times, we cant invoice for you chatting after work !!!

Midnight Oil all finished ,trucks closed and we out the gates. Went f***n awesome mainly due to tassie having the best crew in the country but also that the Oils have managed to put together one of the best touring crews around, all great guys to work with. Great to see some our Tassie guys out there smashing it on tour, nice one colin, steve and luis.

Times for Elton are still as follows:
Load in 0800 wed morning.
Load out 2100 thur night.
The load out has a cast of thousands so it will be quick and smooth with everyone hopefully being out of there by 0030 friday morning.

For those concerned and those who are not concerned but are working with Strait on Elton, dont forget to bring your whitecards with you. If you dont have one you bloody should by now. Jump online and get one, it only takes a few minutes and when you have completed it you will be able to print out a confirmation that your good to go. Obviously as with all things the government issue they will want some of your cash for it, i believe around $35 to $50 depending on who you go through.

Howdy folks, guess what time it is ? yep that lovely time of the year we start thinking about new years, mainly Falls Festival !!! yeah. Will start of with last years crew as usual and then start filling the gaps with new crew. Things to consider - we will have the usual crew van going up and own for the in and out, or do you intend to stay down there. Generally its pretty much the same vibe as it always is so no real surprises at this point.

Message to all Straito's - there will be drinks at the New Sydney this saturday at 5pm to celebrate the sad occasion of Mr Joel H***e and his lovely partner leaving Tassie to embark on a journey of employment with the Darwin Symphony Orchestra. He will be happily accepting gifts of coconut sun tan lotion.

Howdy folks and Straito's, just a quick word on a few topics from the 2 twits at the top.

Quiet time.
Obviously if have not worked it out, we are at that time of the year were we turn into a desert wasteland of drought and famine and things die out. Until we expand to the mainland this will happen every year unfortunately, its just one of the downsights to Tassie being so small, but as always we will struggle through to the otherside when things will pick up again.

Invoicing.
The majority of you are yet to jump on the invoice train. It is very important that we all get on this eventually, we have time, but it needs to happen or there could be big big trouble. If you are having any hassles with this just give Steve or Forthy a call and we can start sorting it out.

Insurance.
Everybody needs to seriously consider their insurance (coverage)policy or lack of. Due to things changing with our insurance after 2017, there will most likely be instances where this will affect you guys as well. We know the whole insurance thing can be a big headf%$k and some people find it confusing. We are looking at what we can sort with our insurance broker, but either way full coverage for yourself for a year is cheaper than what you think and can be paid by gig or month or year. We hope to speak to everyone before the end of the year and then go to our broker. Please call us if this is something you need to sort.

Strait website.
We are currently putting together a website for the company and need your help with gig photos, so get out all your gig photos and go through them, send us a copy of all the Strait ones, and then we can bang them in site. obviously full credit will go to the photographer.

this saturday the 13th at 3pm, Turnbulls Funerals Nth Hobart. Come and show your support for a fallen industry comrade. No doubt most of us have had mixed experiences at times with Morgan, but he was a genuine character who was always for the cause 110%.
