At our recent Celebrate World Bellydance Day with Shimmy in the Glen event, we collected some donations for Glen Innes & District Community Centre Inc. After discussions with Jo from the centre, we decided to use the money to purchase some women's underwear for distribution to those in need. Not only do we believe that new underwear is one of life's wonderful little luxuries, we discovered that it is very difficult to purchase reasonably priced underwear in Glen Innes. Thank you to Lisa for travelling to Inverell to purchase these items and delivering them to the centre and thank you to all those that contributed to this donation 😊

Our Summer Shimmy event on the weekend was a huge success thanks to all the dancers, near and far, that came along to have a fun afternoon with us. Here is a picture of us all, a bit hot after all the dancing and drumming, but definitely happy. There is also a word cloud, created from feedback from all the participants, reflecting on the time we spent together 💛
A huge thank you to Glen Innes Services Club for providing a great venue and The Stones Restaurant for our delicious dinners afterwards 😊
