Entries for the 2026 New England Teapot Show close on Tuesday 30 June.
All media are welcome. There are sections for 2D, 3D, novice and tea cosy, with a prize for the best of each, so the seasoned and the first-timer have equal cause to enter. The only requirement is a little nerve and a finished piece.
The New England North West has never been short of makers with wit in their fingers. Here is your chance to put it on the wall, or the plinth, and see how it fares.

📍 Arts North West Connect Feature: Richard Moon — The Makers Shed, Deepwater

This fortnight on Arts North West Connect we're shining a light on silversmith Richard Moon. Richard and his partner, writer Michael Burge, started out at their home in outer Brisbane in 2014, traded at markets and festivals for four years, then opened a studio gallery on the Glen Innes high street in 2018. In 2024 they brought the business to Deepwater, on the New England Highway. The Makers Shed is a proud part of the international Safe Space Alliance, welcoming First Nations, Migrant, LGBTIQA+ and all-Abilities visitors and locals.

📢 If you missed our announcement...

Arts North West wishes to advise that the Gunnedah Makers Day, originally scheduled for TODAY Saturday, 20 June 2026, has been postponed due to lower-than-anticipated registrations.

The event will now be rescheduled for May 2027, allowing additional time to build interest and ensure a vibrant and valuable experience for all participants.

We appreciate the support shown by our creative community and look forward to bringing makers, artists, and creatives together for an even bigger event next year.
