STUDENT TESTIMONIAL: Chelsea Lancione

“I chose ACA because of its nurturing atmosphere. It was apparent from the student-teacher dynamics that ACA seeks to shape students into employable creatives, and also as well-rounded individuals. This gave me confidence that I would be simultaneously supported and also challenged in my training.”

Stop trying to be funny ... and just be the clown. 🤡

Turns out the biggest laughs come when you’re fully committed.

BTS clown class with our third years, taught by Jo Turner.

Clown training is a core discipline in our actor training that develops presence, spontaneity, and authentic connection. Through improvisation, play, and embracing vulnerability, actors learn to trust their instincts, respond truthfully in the moment, and build a genuine relationship with an audience. These skills strengthen every aspect of performance, creating actors who are more confident, adaptable, and emotionally available across stage and screen.

SPOTLIGHT: Sophie Highmore, 2023 ACA Graduate

“I think too many people enter drama school with the mindset of, ‘I’m here to be the best actor in the room.’ But this industry is built on collaboration. You never know who you’ll be working with – or working for, for that matter. Acting training not only gives you the tools to become a great actor, but also a foundation for networking and collaboration that can lead to future creative opportunities and connections.”
